A TALE OF DUST
[short film | 03:00 Min.]
Nietzsche interprets his relationship with Cosima and Richard Wagner through the lens of myth, particularly the pattern of Tristan and Isolde. At the same time, he traces these mythological structures back to more fundamental figures -Dionysus and Ariadne- which, in his view, point to the origin of Western thought in ancient metaphysics. This reveals a deeper pattern that is central both to philosophy (in terms of how we form knowledge and categories) and to psychology (in terms of archetypes).

My second experiment in creating an AI-generated narrative short film. Each shot was produced parting from a single start frame that was generated on-board with a variety of Stable Diffusion XL checkpoints using Forge and Comfy UI. Some were refined further by enhancing and modifying in Photoshop. The cinematic shots were made with a diversity of methods and models -from Kling 2.5, 2.6, 3.0, to Veo 3.1. and others. The voices are mostly generated with ElevenLabs. Some shots could be made at the first try, others have gone through several versions and re-iterations as character consistency and promt adherence were still a considerable challenge in the first months of 2016.
